This and That and the Priority of our Young People

First off the details, then to the main point:

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. Colossians 3:16

Our text reminds us of the power of music in our lives. Bro. Matt Marshall has brought his giftedness and a new energy to the music ministry at TVBC. Along with a new grand piano and hymn books, the congregational singing (did I mention orchestra!?) has never been better.

Saturday, March 6 Men’s prayer and preaching meeting saw over 150 of our men praising God in the chapel. Evangelist Mark Rogers has delivered the goods to exceptional attendance every day of our Spring Bible Conference.

Looking Forward

We are praying and getting ready for Easter Sunday service on April 4th. Looking forward to salvation emphasis with special music from our adult choir and orchestra. Plenty of seating and opportunity for the lost to come to Christ.

Our Young People

A recent news article had a rural northern Nevada school district superintendent begging his state to open up their schools, citing 18 suicides among high school aged students since December 2020.

I can’t overstate the importance of T.V.B.C. keeping most of our youth ministries going through this last year of pandemic. Sunday School, Master Club, Youth activities, Camps and sports. These things are more important to our young people than most of us likely realize.

THANKS to so many that have worked and ministered to make all of this possible. Our church has been a haven for our young people in the midst of all the shut-down confusion of our times.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. Hebrews 6:10
