The Idolatry of Abortion and the end of Roe v. Wade

Psalm 106:36-39
And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they
sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.

I have written in the past that the idolatry of Israel led them to sacrifice their children to heathen idols. The idolatry of abortion in America is the sovereign will of feminist women and effeminate men in this country. Abortion is easily the sacred sacrament of radical feminism. The creed goes something like this;

If I want my baby, my baby is a person and if I don’t want my baby, it’s not a person. If I want her, its illegal to kill her. Therefore the personhood of my baby and her right to be protected under law are defined by my sovereign desire. The right of my will is the right to kill.

The unrestricted violence of abortion treats the unborn with more antipathy than criminals. New York state does not have the death penalty for adult murderers, but it does have it for innocent babies. Not to be outdone, Virginia tried for a bill that would have effectively allowed for a baby to be born and the mother to then decide on the child’s fate. As Dr. Ben Carson, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, said, If it’s not a human being, then why are you harvesting organs from it?

The national sin of the idolatry of woman’s will is summarized by New York Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins when she said, We’re saying here in New York, women’s lives matter. We’re saying here in New York, women’s decisions matter. Apparently, in the arrogant opinion of these pro-death murderers, babies’ lives don’t matter, nor the future opportunity for them to ever make a decision for themselves. This is the ultimate it’s all about me statement ever codified into the law of the land.

But now . . .

It certainly looks as though some relief is coming. After the heartless butchering of more than 63 million innocent babies, it is encouraging to think that a Supreme Court decision soon to be announced could overturn Roe v. Wade and give each individual state the freedom to decide whether or not it would have abortion in its state. Although that would not be a fifty-state ban, it would undoubtedly reduce the number of abortions significantly.

So, Let’s Do Our Part

Let’s keep praying for victory.
Let’s keep raising our voices to protect the unborn.
Let’s keep speaking out about the wicked barbarism of abortion.
Let’s vote for pro-life candidates.
Let’s use our influence publicly and privately to persuade others.
Let’s be neither intimidated by critics nor bullied by hostilities.
Let’s be solid in our pro-life convictions and courageous in continuing to take a stand.
