Brother Bob Murphy takes the Reformers Unanimous program into the jails & prisons of the Treasure Valley to disciple those who are won to the Lord in chapel services, and to help them find the HOPE of sobriety and victory over the strongholds that have taken away their liberty.
Bob Murphy was saved in December 1981 and started attending Bible Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL, where he served in youth ministry. After graduating from Pensacola Bible Institute in 1992, he worked in two local churches as Youth Director, and served 9 years in Romania as a missionary. In 2007 he returned to the U.S. and joined TVBC as a missionary to the incarcerated, and to teach in the Bible Institute.

The Plight of the incarcerated
Approximately 70 percent of people incarcerated in prisons and jails have used drugs regularly during their lifetime as compared with about 9 percent of the general population. In addition drug related crimes cost an estimated 107 billion dollars in the US annually. Despite these alarming statistics only an estimated 20 percent of U.S. inmates with addictions receive some treatment while incarcerated, and of those treatment options few have the only real answer Jesus Christ.
A burden to reach those in prison
In 2005 God burdened the leadership in Reformers to reach those who are in our prisons, and jail with addictions. The addition to our staff of Eddie Ostolaza has greatly increased our ability to reach this needy segment of society. As a certified Chaplain and former inmate Eddie understands the plight of those incarcerated.
